You should be grateful for what you have. So, here are the Key Takeaways from the Pakistani Drama, “Zindagi Gulzar Hai!”ġ. Though there are quite some things that I didn’t find to be very likable in the show, let’s not get onto that right now and keep our focus on learning the right things.

Plus, the title song in Fawad’s sweet voice is cherry on top! And, by the end of this show, you will take away with you at least one of the universal life lessons, if not more. ZGH might not have the best cinematography out there, but trust me, watching this show will show you a different side of life- one that you might not have experienced yet. I don’t know why I could relate to Kashaf’s character on so many levels, because, maybe, somewhere deep within…I too am afraid to be vulnerable with my loved ones.

And the best part is-it has only 26 episodes in toto that you can binge-watch in a couple of days! Well, I kid you not, this Pakistani drama is so close to real-life that it has little room for the unusual BS that’s going on in the scripts of some other TV shows. The show does a great job at hooking people to the edge of their seats to know how this cold-hearted, stubborn Kashaf Murtaza’s aversion to Zaroon would finally blossom into deep love. The plot then progresses to show the hatred toward Zaroon that Kashaf keeps on aggravating even after she graduates from her college. The story starts with Kashaf’s encounter with Zaroon who, being unaware of her presence around him, calls her a witch. (Popular Bollywood-induced cliché, right?). So, coming back to the show-ZGH is not your usual story of a boy falling head over heels in love after meeting a girl for the first time. 😛 (Read more about it here if you’re interested, lol). And, yeah…I sure did not regret watching this show as I did after watching Into the Wild. After watching Fawad Khan’s acting in the movie “Behadd,” I thought of trying out some Pakistani dramas, and “Zindagi Gulzar Hai” was the title that popped into my mind first.
